The Document Tree - It's a family thing
All HTML documents are trees. Each level of the tree is described in the same manner as a human family tree, with ancestors, descendants, parents, children and siblings. CSS rules are based on the document tree. If you understand the document tree concept, then CSS selectors will be easy to understand and apply.
Let's start with a sample of HTML. This sample doesn't include the head or title, as we are focussing on what is inside the body:

The Document Tree - Ancestor
An ancestor refers to any element that is connected but further up the document tree - no matter how many levels higher. In the diagram below, the <body> element is the ancestor of all other elements on the page.

The Document Tree - Descendant
A descendant refers to any element that is connected but lower down the document tree - no matter how many levels lower. In the diagram below, all elements that are connected below the <div> element are descendants of that <div>.

The Document Tree - Parent - Child
A parent is an element that is directly above and connected to an element in the document tree. In the diagram below, the <div> is a parent to the <ul>.
A child is an element that is directly below and connected to an element in the document tree. In the diagram above, the <ul> is a child to the <div>.

The Document Tree - Sibling
A sibling is an element that shares the same parent with another element. In the diagram below, the <li>'s are siblings as they all share the same parent - the <ul>.

The Document Tree - Multiple Descriptions
Within your own family tree, you can be described in many ways. You are a descendant of your ancestors and are a child of your parents. You may also be a parent (if you have children), and a sibling (if you have brothers or sisters).
In the same way, elements on an HTML page have multiple descriptions. In the diagram below, one of the two <div> elements is highlighted. It can be described as:
- a child of the <body> element
- a parent of the <ul> element
- an ancestor of the <ul> and <li> elements
- a sibling of the other div element (who shares the same parent - the <body> element).

Ronald Opus - Murdered or Suicide
On March 23 the medical examiner viewed the body of Ronald Opus and concluded that he died from a gunshot wound of the head caused by a shotgun.
Investigation to that point had revealed that the deceased had jumped from the top of a ten story building with the intent to commit suicide (he left a note indicating his despondency). As he passed the 9th floor on the way down, his life was interrupted by a shotgun blast through a window, killing him instantly. Neither the shooter nor the deceased was aware that a safety net had been erected at the 8th floor level to protect some window washers and that the deceased would not have been able to complete his intent to commit suicide because of this.
Ordinarily, a person who starts into motion the events with a suicide intent ultimately commits suicide even though the mechanism might be not what he intended. That he was shot on the way to certain death nine stories below probably would not change his mode of death from suicide to homicide. But the fact that his suicide intent would not have been achieved under any circumstance caused the medical examiner to feel that he had homicide on his hands.
Further investigation led to the discovery that the room on the 9th floor from whence the shotgun blast emanated was occupied by an elderly man and his wife. He was threatening her with the shotgun because of an inter-spousal spat and became so upset that he could not hold the shotgun straight. Therefore, when he pulled the trigger, he completely missed his wife and the pellets went through the window striking the deceased.
When one intends to kill subject A, but kills subject B in the attempt, one is guilty of the murder of subject B. The old man was confronted with this conclusion, but both he and his wife were adamant in stating that neither knew that the shotgun was loaded. It was the longtime habit of the old man to threaten his wife with an unloaded shotgun. He had no intent to murder her; therefore, the killing of the deceased appeared then to be accident That is, the gun had been accidentally loaded.
But *further* investigation turned up a witness that their son was seen loading the shotgun approximately six weeks prior to the fatal accident. That investigation showed that the mother (the old lady) had cut off her son's financial support and her son, knowing the propensity of his father to use the shotgun threateningly, loaded the gun with the expectation that the father would shoot his mother. The case now becomes one of murder on the part of the son for the death of Ronald Opus.
Further investigation revealed that the son became increasingly despondent over the failure of his attempt to get his mother murdered. This led him to jump off the ten story building on March 23, only to be killed by a shotgun blast through a 9th story window.
The medical examiner closed the case as a suicide. |

When i use windows then the java chat (chat now) option do worked fine but the right side of the chat window hav unexpectedly increased so i cant see some writing/option ...
and when i use linux (ubuntu) then the java chat option doesnt work ... no java window appeared ... my linux system have already installed java .. whts the prob??? |

Grouping declarations
You can use more than one declaration within a declaration block. Each declaration must be separated with a semicolon ";". For example:

Shorthand properties
Some properties are able to be written in shorthand, so that the values of several properties can be specified with a single property.

Grouping selectors
Selectors are used to "select" the elements on an HTML page that are affected by rules. When several selectors share the same declarations, they may be grouped together to save writing the same rule more than once. Each selector must be separated by a comma. They can also include a wide range of selectors. For example:

There are two common mistakes that people make when grouping selectors. The first is forgetting to write each selector in full. এখন অনেক মানুষ আছেন যারা উবুন্টু ব্যবহার করেন ... আমার এই লেখাটা তাদের কাজে লাগলেও লাগতে পারে . . .
যারা উবুন্টু আপডেট করেন নিয়মিত তারা নিশ্চই চান না আপডেট গুলা হারাতে যদি নেট স্পিড ভালো না থাকে, কারন দ্বিতীয়বার নতুন করে আপডেট করা অনেক ঝামেলার . . . তাদের ঝামেলা থেকে বাঁচার জন্য ছোট্ট একটা টিপস্ হল :
আপডেট করার পর আপনার File system নামের ড্রাইভ এ যান (যেখানে উবুন্টু সেটআপ করা আছে) . . . তারপর নীচের স্টেপ গুলা অনুসরণ করুন :
Filesystem>Var>cache>apt>archives .... এখানে lost & partial বাদে বাকি সব .DEB ফাইলগুলা কপি করে অন্য ড্রাইভ এ সেভ করে রাখুন . . . পরে আপনি যদি ম্যানুয়াল আপডেট করতে চান ইন্টারনেট ছাড়া (কোন কারনে আপনার আপডেট এর ক্ষতি হলে বা উবুন্টু তে সমস্যা হলে) তখন এই ফাইল গুলা রান করালেই হবে আপনার পুর্বের আপডেট আপনি ফেরত পাবেন . . . কেউ চাইলে নির্দিষ্ট .DEB ফাইল রান করেও নির্দিষ্ট আপডেট পেতে পারেন . . . আবার চাইলে সব আপডেটগুলো একটা ফোল্ডার এ রেখে টার্মিনাল থেকে ঐ ফোল্ডার এর লোকেশান দেখিয়ে দিয়ে একবারে এক কমান্ড দিয়ে সব .DEB ফাইল একসাথে সেটআপ করতে পারেন ... তাহলে একটা একটা করে .DEB ফাইল সেটআপ এর ঝামেলা এড়ানো যায় ... এখন তার জন্য কমান্ড হবে নিম্নলিখিত :
যেমন : যদি ফাইলগুলো Desktop এ থাকে তাহলে কমান্ড হবে :
cd Desktop
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
মনে রাখবেন কমান্ড এবং ফোল্ডার নেইম কেস সেনসেটিভ। |

যাদের কাছে উবুন্টু ৯.০৪ এর ISO Image ফাইল টা আছে তারা চাইলে সরাসরি উবুন্টু সেটআপ দিতে পারবেন সিডি ছাড়াই ...
এজন্য আপনাকে Wubi 9.04 টি ডাউনলোড করে নিতে হবে

কারন উবুন্টু ৯.০৪ ISO Image এর সাথে যেই Wubi টা দেয়া থাকে সেটাতে সমস্যা আছে . . এখন আপনার ডাউনলোড করা Wubi টা চালান ... ওখানে প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্যাদি দিয়ে সেটআপ করুন . . .
মনে রাখবেন Wubi ফাইলটা যেখানে ISO Image আছে সেখানে রাখবেন |
